Synthesizer customers know what they want-value and performance. For some the value/performance equation is heavily focused on switching speed, while for others it's more important to achieve low spurs and phase noise. The common denominator for everyone however, is limited NRE and low recurring costs. WaveCor is the solution. It's flexible architecture makes it possible to quickly select a narrowband or broadband output and tailor the performance characteristics quickly and precisely.

It all starts with our premier DDS
Our DDS technology has made it possible to deliver synthesizers with the cleanest, fastest, 50 MHz to 20 GHz output available today. In addition to offering exceptional spurious-free dynamic range and output phase noise, the WaveCor Synthesizer delivers industry leading switching times. And because of our software-based DDS approach, we can easily support requirements for custom waveform generation, phase continuous or phase coherent output, and precise control of the start, stop and repetition rate of output signals.

You only pay for the performance you need
With this enabling DDS technology, our engineers were able to develop an innovative synthesizer architecture comprised of multiple expander slices. Each expander slice increases the frequency range of the previous slice. An output module is the final slice providing the synthesizer output interface, along with incorporating any specific customer requirements with regard to output power, modulation, etc.  By carefully selecting and combining the appropriate expanders for the job, we can easily meet all your price/performance requirements.

And it’s all delivered in a 3U rackmount chassis.

To provide the best value possible, the WaveCor Synthesizer is delivered in a standard 19” rackmount chassis. A fully populated WaveCor Synthesizer weighs in at less than 40 lbs.
